Adieu Belgique

Here I am... I've been far away from TF and now I'm posting a journal after long time. My life changed so much recently, I moved to Valencia, where I appreciate a sunny friendly life, then to Madrid, where I discovered la suma de todos, then suddenly to Charleroi, rainy industrial place which didnt let me fully appreciate the beauty of Belgium. I moved so many times, changed job, country, telephone numbers, left some friends, got new ones, and never stop. I feel kinda Jason Bourne....lol! Last

Why? Why? Why?

I'm reading about the bombs in Bkk... gosh wasn't it enough the Tsunami? Why every year have cannot end in peace? I know somebody died and somebody else is wounded...and a day which is supposed to be happy turned sad.I hope you people of TF in Bangkok are all safe, those I know and those I don't, and hope all your friends and relatives are as well. My heart is with those who're suffering now. Take all good care and let's hope rainy clouds go away and never back.

A Thai Christmas Tale

A Thai Christmas Tale   DEDICATED TO THOSE THEY LOVED, DEDICATED TO THOSE WHO LOVED THEM.       He walked on the wet sand of Ao Nang, enjoying the fresh breeze of the morning and thinking back to the warm Christmas’ night which had finished no longer than a half hour before. The feeling of the waves caressing his feet let him smile to the memories of the party just faded, too beautiful to be real but too vivid to be just a dream. Eight hours befo

Make Materazzi a saint now!

Here's a funny article by the famous italian comic Grillo...have some laughs buddies! "Materazzi?s attributes are Italian. The French want to get hold of them, and having already got the Mona Lisa, they want to exhibit them at the Louvre. Zidane?s insinuating press conference was yesterday. He?s an acclaimed national hero as he has defended the honour of his women. The press conference was really a pathetic show to deprive Italy of a weighty pair of balls. The false declarations attributed to

Infrastructures of the mind

"Our world is dominated by the ethics of movement. The one who doesn?t move is lost. The one who stays still is an ignoble lazy person, a subversive, an enemy of the GDP. There?s much talk of the infrastructures of steel and cement, of rails, motorways, bridges, tunnels. Structures that carry empty trucks and cars with a single person. The car is an accessory for petrol. It serves to consume petrol and to sell petrol. A box of steel plates full of gadgets with the average speed of a mule. Inf

ITALYvsAUSTRALIA

Italy plays one of the most ugly soccer in the world. Perhaps it should not be called soccer too, because that's far to be the most beautiful sport. Since the national team represents a whole country, Italy is one of the team which represents it in the best way: nobody does good, nobody has a will to win and everybody wins because of their luck. Playing so bad they risk to win the cup, despite I would like to see them leaving this ball possession to a team like Brazil or my Argentina. I hope it

A lesson of journalism

I'd like to put here some articles about Italy to who is interested on this country... Yesterday Piero Ricca asked Andreotti a few questions. After that he had to flee but he was caught and taken to the Police Station. Here is his story. ?Early yesterday afternoon, in the big lecture theatre of the Università Bicocca, in Milan, I put a few questions to the life senator Giulio Andreotti, about the strange absolution that he got on the grounds of ?prescription? {timed out} for the crime of assoc

USA-ITALY

Those who watched this game of the World Cup would finally agree to spend their time better than wasting 90 minutes looking at 11 blue deads on a green field (ops, I mean 10). Who likes soccer should not do that mistake again and watch the Argentina team...

All about MEN!

I got this mail which tells all the secrets about MEN! All the women here in TF can take some hints lol Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park. Car mechanics! Tell you the truth.. The worl

Italy's World Cup in Germany

If you're looking at what's happening to italian football you would be probably disgusted like I am... We're going to play the World Cup with the coach and some players who are probably unfit to their roles because of the scandals that tax police and judges are discovering in almost all the teams playing in the first division. Somebody's asking them to present their resignation, but, as usual, in this country nobody resigns. The corrupted governor of the Bank of Italy didn't resign, the corrupte

The Man Who Flew With The Eagles

Few days ago a great man died in the skies of Sicily. His name was Angelo D'Arrigo, and his passion was to fly free over the Earth: over mountains or deserts, seas or volcanoes. He spoke with birds, he spent his whole life following the dream to fly, and he left the world flying, like he was not a man but just a passenger from the sky.. I always think that a great man who dies is a loss for the whole mankind...May the future give us many ones like him. Free as birds. if you want to know more,

Ways To Wake Up

To wake up and find a friend depressed, some bills waiting upon your laptop, your brother who keeps the bathroom busy, no gasoline in the car and a long queue waiting for you in the post office. I know some better ways to wake up, hope you had one of them!

Vampires around

Tonight I was bored at home so started to zapping on my TV (rare) and they played "Blade" with Wesley Snipes: vampires and stuff like that you know... On another channel, 2 politicians fighting for people's next vote on 9 April, to determine if this country has to continue to be a Bananas Republic or if it can finally become a Republic of Bananas... Well my friends, the problem was I couldnt distinguish in which channel there were the real vampires and in which one just actors: my poor land!

Il cuore ha sempre ragione.

There's a nice commercial here in Italy lately, and I just wanted to share it with you all...it can make you think about the meaning of life! Ahah! "Osservate con quanta previdenza la natura, madre del genere umano, ebbe cura di spargere ovunque un pizzico di follia. Infuse nell?uomo più passione che ragione perché fosse tutto meno triste, difficile, brutto, insipido, fastidioso. Se i mortali si guardassero da qualsiasi rapporto con la saggezza, la vecchiaia neppure ci sarebbe. Se

The World As You See It

I was working on my neverending, penelop-ish, photographic book about Thailand and South East Asia, when suddenly my attention has been taken by the words wrote on the photographic paper: "The world as you see it". It made me think about what a picture is, and about what people think a picture is, and it came out an interesting thought. A photo is supposed to be an accurate replication of reality, a frame of that particular moment of life in the way we lived it, no more and not less. But I didnt
