:: I am arranging trip for boss and a manager to USA for meeting.. I find difficulties to apply visa for them as now the visa application regulations have changed.. You have to fill-in application form and submit throu internet only, also making interview appointment. But the interview schedule available are beyond the dates of meeting that they will be attended.

I requested for expedite the application consideration and sent couple emails 'begging' them for expidation as Meeting is coming shortly..

I got worried and boss started complaining about i not follow up 'hard' enough.

Any suggestions here.. pls Klum jai jing jing..

i knew it longtime ago ..Visa USA never easy ..but i think it not too difficult for u coz u work in the company ..u should have the good reason and all off it not fake ..so i think when the embassy checking it that it correct then u get it ..and sure if u wanna go there u must to know might be take time for running about it 3 months up . So bored for thinking about the visa..i want to have it before too ..but i cancel my plan right now ..coz my bf not be in usa..so i am still take it easy .

Anyway..i pray u have the visa as soon .. cheer up!!!

I saw everday people line up in front of the US Embassy...if they don't allow to apply in person then why those people are there? maybe for another reason??? just curious! Can anyone tell?

Did you try this already? If so, not much else u can do.

Q:I need to leave immediately, can my appointment be expedited?

A: All applicants for tourist and business visas are encouraged to apply early. We expedite legitimate business and educational travel based on pressing need. To apply for an expedited appointment, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Request to Expedite a Non-Immigrant Visa Appointment." Please provide your full name, appointment confirmation number, a contact telephone number in Thailand, and the reason for requesting an earlier appointment.

'Expedite' usually means you pay more for that.

P.S. Monday the 20th is a U.S. holiday - so the embassy wont be open that day.

Or how about calling / applying to the Chiang Mai consulate?

On applying in CM, I notice their site says about only 1 day waiting for appt. But Bkk says like 3 or 7 days wait (the stats were from 2004 though...).

Hopefully the person who responds to email doesn't go to Koh Samui or Phuket next week for a long holiday....

The only other possible short cut is if your boss personally knows someone at the embassy. I know people in another country who got visas quick that way.

I gather the Us Embassy be no different from Australia Embassy,must have to go line up to get Visa issued in Passport!!! Just a thought Cindy.
