BKK 100 Rock Fest: Day 2
When I got there the first thing that came to my mind was "Shite! Where had all the people gone!?!" It was empty. It was dead more like. I started panicking and feeling sorry for the bands having to play tonight. There couldn't had been more than 2000 people from all ticket zones! Really just dead!
But apparently the bands didn't care!!! Had an overall greater time than the 1st night!
I think I have even fallen in love a few too many times LMAO.
Great energy from Maximo Park. One minute I was enjoying Paul's shy, soothing talking voice and then he went on and rocked the mic (as well as spitting on it a few times). As my days as a rock chick had been long gone....I had only heard a few songs from MP but their performance had made me a fan tonight. Really really just brilliant! When Paul said it was the last song and I realized I would not get to hear that voice talking to me (well and the whole crowd) anymore, I felt like kidnapping him LOL.
Then Snow Patrol came on and the small crowd went crazy. The first day I didn't feel any pushing or anything but it was bad tonight. Or it was probably because those farang tw*ts and ******* pushing their way into the front row...nearly caused a few fights. Causing me to politely said to the frigging tw*t next to me "Stop pushing! You f**king *****! Skirt wearing tw*t!" as most of my friends are small, under 5'3" small and this over 6' drunk tw*t just stepping and pushing all over them. Yet these drunk lot just would not stop so I either elbowed them or pretending to be jumping up and down and making sure I step on their feet. At one point I jumped right up the guy's chin....served him friggin right LMAO.
Anyway, back to Snow Patrol. The crowd loved them! It was crazy! Gary Lightbody, the lead singer, singing and telling a few jokes. When they played their biggest hit, Run, it was mental! And it was probably the loudest the crowd had been for the whole entire event really. (OK, maybe second to Oasis' Don't Look Back In Anger but I wasn't there so it doesn't cound haha!)
I actually want to thank the 'small' crowd for their enthusiasm cos I got to see my Nathan grinning so happily. Will be dreaming of those smiles for a few days now. He's so cuteeeeeee!
Futureheads was also good but I'm not that impressed by them really. Didn't get to see Placebo at all as I had to come to work. So let me know how they were OK?
