johnno 2 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Share its no coincidence that most of the crashes have occured since the army took over the maintenance from the airforce in the 80's. as an old ex-airforce member, there is no way i'd be confident to travel in them. in the army, you are a soldier first and an airman (maintenance) is your secondary duty. its more important to the army that you are away for months at a time doing promotion exams and running thru the jungle than keeping the aircraft airworthy.
