bon jour 'cyber'space...

due to the amont of members and the wannabe, i was asked by several people why 'anti-barbies'

here is how the story begins,

for my journal fans, you probably have known that i have been babysiting two boys for over 6 years up till now. as normal as the western-centrict societies have been...boys dont like gals and gals dont like boys "when they are kids", everything about the opposite sex is prohibit. so, whenever the two boys and i watch TV and the barbie dolls commercials come up, we usually press our left shoulders and say 'sheild' which means the barbie stuffs wouldn't get into us. we cover our eyes with our hands and if i happen to foget, the little boy will press my shoulder for me and cover my eyes with on of his hand.

(sometimes i took a peek and found that both of them peeked on the commercials sometimes too!)

so, that's how the club was started...

the two boys have my words that if i happend to have a daughter and if my daughter likes barbires, she'll be in trouble

beyond that, what i personaly dont like about barbies is the influences they have given out to societies both on girls and boys. look at them carefully, i don't see any beauty in them at all. how can we let berbies be our girls' role models, how can we keep sending messages to our childern that girls should be hot, sexy, skinny and dress up sassy and tasteless likearbies? how can we input the idea that girls should have big boobs otherwise go get a boobie job!, same thing have been implied to boys for what type of girlfriends they should be looking for as well...

for all the membersof my club, be awared that we might be considered as sour grapes as we don't really have those sassy qualities in us. hence we sublimate the situation by terrorizing the poor barbies.

That is so right. Let me give you another reason why Barbies are no a good role model.

When Barbie tries to sit, you move her legs to 90 degrees with her body, then her legs will be wide open! What kind of girl always opens her legs in invitation? Sick!
