Some of you guys may remember this from the news about a month ago. This guy is from my neigbouring island here in the Channel Islands but has been working as a cameraman at a sky diving school near Lake Taupo in New Zealand for the past few years. Anyway he promised that the footage would be released and here it is for you guys.

yeah cuz the u only jump rope...........

last time i jumped, we were waiting for the plane , and i leaned against the chain fence.

somehow it caught my parachute, and when i moved away from the fence, my parachute got caught and fell out onto the ground.

the guy next to me said " don't worry, i will stick it back in for you" (they have to be folded correctly!!!")

i took a chance...lol.....(still had a reserve chute)

it opened ok :-)

HOly F***!!!!!!! That clip left me cold. It can happen. THe chances of both canopies failing are so so so slim, but it can happen. Mind you, so can being run over by a bus .... I still think it's the best thing I ever did, and I miss the sport terribly.

PS: There IS no such thing as a perfectly good aeroplane ;-)
