Just read a journal about your parks and it reminded me of something.Although BKK is a very hectic busy city I hardly saw any litter on the streets. As a child one of the first things I was taught was not to drop rubbish, My mum was very severe if I did so I learnt very quick . lol LaughingIn London people just do not care and throw crap everywhere. I was on the bus yesterday sat next to a lady who ate a Mcdonalds and then then threw the rubbish out the window of the bus.Could she not wait to put it in the bin at the bus stop she got off at. Made me so angry but what can you do. People just do not care here in London anymore.

Anyway big thanks to all the people of Bangkok and the rest of Thailand for keeping your streets clean. It really makes a difference,  Thanks

I meant the attitude towards dropping litter in the streets is better than in the UK, I honestly can say the police would not stop someone in the UK for dropping a cigarette but on the street yet I saw the police do it several times to people in BKK. There is mess in every city but I do think the streets are cleaner than in London (maybe I have not seen enough BKK hope to see more in time)

Litter-free Bangkok?

Where have you been? Are you sure your plane didn't take a wrong turn somewhere?

Either way, a litter free Bangkok would be nice and if we all take some responsibility for it, it could be done. I would love that.

I have been in BKK only about 40 days ( in 4 times), so I don't know Bangkok, and I think is not clean at all ,but also agree with Sorthyg that in BKK, people not use to trow out rabbish on the street as in Europe, though sometimes could be an adventure to find a bin ....

Uh?? But they DO chuck stuff on the ground, out of windows etc .... someone else further down the scale will pick it up. I teach at a private school, and I am at my wits end. I just CANNOT get these kids to tidy up after themselves, look after their classroom etc without being on their case constantly. But see, they all have nannies at their beck and call from the moment they leave school ....

Eat a snack. Leave the wrapper where they sit. Drop pencil crayons or blocks on the floor. Nevermind. Someone else will clear it up. Leave shoes directly in front of the doorway - it's always entertaining to watch someone fall over them and break their nose lol ....
