Insomnia

I have been suffering with Insomnia again.Not sure why but it may be that I have to much going on in my mind, I am lucky to get 4 hours sleep a night at the moment. Anyone got any good tips to help me sleep better.

Try different breathing techniques. A good one is to lie flat on the bed with legs and arms apart. Begin a series of very deep and long inhales and exhales. Try to inhale into ur stomach rather than ur lungs. Focus ur attentioin on a midpoint and start to thinl of a soothing image. Keep everything else out of ur mind. Do this for about 20 minutes. It's a mild form of meditation but it slows the mind and body down a lot. Also very good for stress.

You could also try exercise in the early evening....it really does chill the mind and body a lot.

Go to bed when you feel sleepy then try to go to bed at the same time and get out of bed at the same time even on the weekends sunlight helps to adjust the body clock

This past month I have experiences of not being able to sleep for up to 3 days, then I eventually crash out & sleep for 24hrs straight.I don't know the reason,I am at a loss.Has anybody suffered this complaint?

don't use meditation...use medication :-)

i sleep 4 hours per 24

up 5 ..sleep 1

up 5 sleep 1

etc.

i hate it !

even medication has no effect on me....oops...time 2 take a nap now ;-)

Thanks I think I know what to do now guys it looks like I have to get drunk, go for a run, meditate while eating some toast and warm milk then jump in to bed next to caticha and BlueOcean take some pills and read a book about Thaksim.

Might not try all of that at once

Someone also suggested some Lavender oil on my pillow so I might try that with some meditation

Put eucalyptus oil in hot water or u know... those kind of small burners for aroma thingy, that should help your body to relax.

warm milk... like how your mom fed you when u were a little boy.

Yoga - that works very well for me, sleep 8 hrs and your body clock wakes u up the next morning without alarm clock as well.

if nothing works, try "knocking one out" as many times possible. :P
