Namaste,

I was there for about 2 weeks last november. I dont think I ever had a problem, the people there were very friendly and helpful. Very beautiful country. Make a note whenever you goto like Durba (sp?) Square in Kathmando how tall the doors of the centries old areas. Then look at how tall the people are now.

However, I know they have had some problems since then. One thing I would recommend is to just stay away from any conversation involving the maoists or any of the political problems.

Namaste;

BenS, Baboe, Crazygirl and Gracy : Thanks so much for all information.

First I want to go by agency tour but after read some books I want to travel alone ... But not sure it safety or not ... Anyway, I will talk to all of you more before I go there.

Khun Crazygirl : May I ask about detail of agency tour there kha?

Gracy : you should go with me but before go there you should start practise Thai Boxing from me first because for Trekking you must be strong and good health .... come on don't be lazy ... you escape from Salsa dance but you should not escape from Nepal trip ok? .... hahahahah

Good night and sweet dream.

Hi Jaysephine...I've spent about a year over there. There are a lot of things to do...go to Lumpini, visit the lamas, go rafting, hang out like a hippy in Pokhara, go to the jungle and see rhinos and tigers.

But the most amazing thing for me is the trekking. The monsoon normally comes around June, so you won't have a lot of time. If you don't want to go alone, but don't want to sign up for some kind of package deal, you can just ask an agency if they can spare a porter. You gotta be in good shape! If you have questions, let me know!
