I was biking to the city centre to purchase the newest book of Haruki Murakami, called 'After Dark'. They didn't sell the hardback yet, so I decided to wait until June and get it then.On the way back home I had a flat tire.... Damn it!  So I walked further...Then a guy looked at me and said: 'Hi, got a flat tire? I'll fix it for you in a jiffy!!' It turned out he liked to help people and get some conversation in return. He used to be a bike mechanic. He had just helped another 'customer' and while repairing my bike he spotted an other person and yelled: 'Shall I repair yours as well?' Haha. funny guy!I have to admit he was a bit of a geek, but still I appreciated it very much what he did. A very good hearted man! It's good to help people around you when they need it, isn't it? It brightened up my day... So thanks Lowie, for repairing my bike!

LowieBy the way, the 'Rabobank' is a funny name for a bank don't ya think?                   'Rabobank' -->'Rob-a-bank'.... hahaha 

I have found that on all my cycle tours, all cycle mechanics/helpers - bar none - have been fantastic!

Same thing happened with me Kinnaree. I got back to my apartment with 4 bags/suitcases from my holidays and the 3 Thai guards just sat and watched me try to open the doors, etc... Never mind!

Were you in Steptoe and Son? You're the spitting image of Wilfrid Brambell. I thought he died years ago.
