A typical week of a bride to be (not!)
Life has been a little bit mad for a while. I don't know how I manage to cope with it so far.I am getting married in 2 weeks. Even though most things are pretty much handled by the hotel, We still have so many things to sort out. It is funny that no matter how long in advance you have got to prepare, when the real day is approaching, thinking about what we haven't done can always freak you out.My wedding dress and Lenny's suit will be ready a week before the wedding. And if you are a woman you will know that it is necessary that you find the very right accessories to go with it and that is hard work.We are going to do the wine tasting this weekend. There are 5 different choice in the fridge, and only the lucky one will be chosen to be served in the wedding. So I have to be ready for a pretty drunk weekend. We just bought our wedding rings. Though we had to wait one week until we can pick them up because we wanted them carved with our names and some secret message. They are special though because they are not matched. We managed to find time to meet little Sarah. She just had her 1st birthday party not long ago, so we got her a lovely pair of pink shoes as she just able to walk a few days before her birthday.I have been busy to the level that I haven't got time to go to have a spa treatment for over 2 weeks already. I haven't been home earlier than 9 pm for weeks! I really don't think about how tired I am going to look like on the wedding photos if this still goes on. Just to add to the wedding preparation, we are busy sorting out the new flat. Started from moving the aircon from the weird place for the aircon to be. Tomorrow we are going to have somebody doing the electricity and piping for the built-in kitchen. This kitchen took 3 weeks + many trip to SB furniture to design. It is the same material as this one, but different layout. I can't wait until it is ready. Then we have to sort out the panting, the tile, the floor. Actually we pretty much change everything in there. If we could knock some wall down, I think we would. I don't know why we bought it in the first place. I now believe that only the view count a lot on decision of buying property in Bangkok. Hopefully, nobody is going to build anything to block that view in 5 years from now.Last thing to add is that we went to have dinner at my boss's house. It was the biggest common people's house I have been in. Guess it is not exactly right to say that she is common anymore after everything I saw there. Anyway, the highlight for me was actually the chess set she had in the living room. If you look carefully you will see that it has some history behind it. It was the war between the British Empire and the Chinese. I didn't know how to play it before, but because its beauty, I kept bugging him to teach me. I can’t tell you who won because we were too good that by the time for us to leave we haven’t finished the game. I really need to find a nice set like this to practice at home. Good night everyone!
