My friend Jimmy turned up at mine a few hours ago asking if I wanted to go to a gig at Brixton academy. He knew the guys playing and we had guest list so the gig was cheap just a £5 donation to charity instead of the £20 ticket charge. The band was babyshambles,my friend Jimmy knows them well and has DJ'd for them a few times. As the gig was only a few bus stops away I decided I might as well check it out and see what they are like.I didn't think much to be honest the crowd were all quite young and out of it we had one young lady, in her late teens I think, walk up to us and told us she  had lost one shoe, her hat, her boyfriend and all her friends, she then told us she had done far to many drugs and walked off in to the crowd bouncing off people.We decided to go up to the balcony to check the rest of the show out after that, it was pretty bland to be honest, I love music but just didn't feel any real energy coming form the band. I don't think I would bother seeing them again and quite glad I didn't have to pay the full amount to go. We had passes to the after party but really could not be bothered to go.Maybe I am getting old. lol I still managed the whole night drink free but I think even if I had been pissed I wouldn't have enjoyed the band.
