Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and Me
My colleage asked me if I wanted to go to see opera. I told her that I had to think about it cuz opera isn't my things... not hate but just not feel like to hear it this time. Then she said it was ok Khun K. (one of our colleage) would go to join the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra...."Huh" I said, "If Bangkok Symphony Orchestra I will go" She was surprised like everyone else around there, cuz a person like me.... want to see symphony orchestra !!!Why not? I went to see their show since I was studied in first year in the university. First time, I saw the poster at AUA. about the show, it said free admission for students (great rehearsal) at Thailand Cultural Center, Main Hall. After that I went there again and again... until staff there, She worked for public relations department asked me if I want to work with them in the concert. I told her "yes, I would love to" I set up my team to work at the concert hall... our job was taking the audience to their seats. 250 - 350 baht / night.... why not just work 2-3 hours and we could see free concert... if not I could go home after that. When I was studied in the final year at uni. I had to find a workplace to be trained... if not I couldn't graduate... so I applied for the BKK symphony foundation to be a trainee in public relation department. I learnt so many things from there... the manager was a very serious guy but he was "jaidee" man. The last day, he asked me if I wanted to work for the foundation, got paid about 8000 baht / month... I said "yes" I worked there about 2 months... I like the job I can tell you but 8000 baht I couldn't live... I got the better offer from Bumrungrad Hospital, so I just left. Anyway, that's my background about BSO and me. It's been 10 years already that I haven't turn back there... It's might be good if tonight I can see the old colleages...
