Yep. They earn a dollar a day for their work and efforts. Then the people in the sweat shops earn another dollar a day for actually making the silk into clothes. Then Marks and Spencers sell the clothes for 50 dollars + each. Good old capatalism:)

Cambodia has silk too.... and their silk scarfs are the most famous gift, but most farang see it first in Thailand so they can't really sell. :-P

I don't see they boil the cocoon like we do in those photos. ?_?
