a double helping today. The original track is from Danish band 'Laid Back' from 1983 and the updated version is from 2006 by Wonderland Avenue. When dance acts rework or sample old tunes it is often a bit of a mess but Wonderland Avenue retain the great funky feel of this anti-drug track. Enjoy your saturday!!!

Shamu - thunderbird brings back too many unpleasant adolescent memories!!!! Actually have a cover version of hotel california (the best song about satanism ever written) but tis crap!! But over coming weeks you will be getting a little bit of almost every genre, so just stay tuned (in, turned on, dropped out)

Dave - Cyrus straight line amp, mission M53 speakers (love these), Allen & Heath Xone 3D DJ mixer controller (my most expensive bit of kit and my pride and joy) and 2 x technics SL1210 decks.

Miss E - thought you would!!!

Wow sounds like a very good system , mission (British) make some very good speakers cyrus is a very good amp, my speakers are Bowers and Wilkins 602 (a few yrs old now) (if I had the money I would invest in the 800 series)

The serious audiophiles out there say vinyl is a great sound, better than cd would you agree?

always always always!!! You will have heard of Scottish hi fi firm Linn??? Make very good equipment and in 80's released an album by band called Blue Nile (if you can get this you will love it, in fact a track will be tomorrows journal) My friend was seriously into hi fi and played me that album an dI was hooked on hi fi. The mission m53s are medium price but one of the bestreviews you will get.But my heath + allen is my baby - alllows me to mix in digital inputs too so give sme my mp3 collection but also interacts with ableton which I use for compositons and remixes. Not much change out of £2k for that baby!!
