Today I was over a friends house fixing their laptop because it was getting the bsod.. blue screen of death... and also had no sound. Well I go through fixing all the little things and get it up and running no big deal. Then she talks with her brother in-law who reminds her about her apple ipod not working and asks if maybe I cna look at that because apple is going to charge like $60 to fix it at least. The problem was it had a sad face and wouldn't go to the menu or anything. Well I checked around some tech forums and discovered that the most classic men jokingly say actually worked! Yes you actually have to BANG the ipod against something (not to hard or against the face of course). So in effect the joke of just hit with a hammer actually worked. lol I know it's just resetting the drive and is a temporary fix which will need to be redone often but how funny this is an actually fix. lol
