I found a man from a website.  He is really my type ,  nice , funny , clever, good attitude and caring.  I have chatted with him for 6 months almost and he plans to fly to Thailand this June..so he has asked me few plan for his trip and he seems pay a  lot of attention about the coming date.  After  I have chatted with him around 6 months,  in my opinion , his life is quiet close to perfect.  He has a good career and he has his community and he has his fab life style(outdoor, soccer club &his music).  He can take care himself so well and he seems happy all the time and he seem needless any lover.  I am wondering does it seems so mean or stupid if I asked him what he is looking for from the date? What is his purpose ?

Can I ask him if he really would like to have a date with me ..or he just looks for someone for fun (so he could date anyone) ?  I don't know ............but  I don't want wasting of the time of both of us.?  I wonder it because he is above 40 yrs old but he is still single ...  I would like to play in a safety game.......what I should do ?  Thank you for your kind advices in advance.
