I.......................have................a...........................red ................hat

CHAN................ ME ........... (BAI)NUENG................DEANG.............MUAG

©Ñ¹.....................ÃÕ ................ (ãº)˹Öè§ ................ á´§ ................ËÃÇ¡

this sentence make no sense in thai structure .............you have to say

CHAN ................ ME ................ MUAG ................ DEANG ................ (BAI)NUENG

DEANG = red

MUAG = hat

ok ... let talk about Adj today ............RED HAT ...in english you put Adj before noun but in Thai is difference

you have to put noun before Adj ...so it will be ..............MUAG DANG......

we don?t have article in Thai structure but we see them as extension or complement part. We normally put complement part at the end of sentence, as you see we put (BAI)NUENG as above

but i will not talk about this today,, let see only Adj and noun

car = rodh ö

beautiful =sauy ÊÇÂ

beautiful car -------------> rodh(ö) ................sauy(ÊÇÂ)

adj ........noun ...............noun ................... adj

now I will tell you about my boyfriend who are practising his Thai (beginner)........

he knew beautiful ="sauy" "ÊÇÂ" and we always call each other "darling"="tee rak" ,"·Õè ÃÑ¡"

Every day he phones me 6 hrs. oversea call he keeps calling me "sauy tee rak"......

Can you see something wrong?..... Yes it should be "tee rak sauy" ???

"tee rak sauy" is almost true but not 100 percent.......

Vachi's rule#2 when you talk about a HUMAN attributes you have to put some words mention that you talk about HUMAN NOT SOMETHING else

We must put a word between noun and adj.This word is ?HUMAN? =?KHON?,¤¹

The correct sentence should be

Tee rak................KHON................sauy

Darling ................ ......................beautiful

try this?

example

Fay = (my name)

Smart =Keng à¡è§

The sentence : Fay khon keng

1.new car: new =mai (ãËÃè) car =rodh ö

2.lovely girl: lovely =narak ¹èÒÃÑ¡,girl = phoying ¼ÙéËÔ§

Interesting post.

Quick question: A few people have suggested learning to read Thai before trying to learn to speak it. They said speaking it will come much more quickly once you understand the alphabet.

Your opinion?

farangfarang: have you ever seen children learn to read first???

the big mistake that thai ppl learn how to read and write before learning how to speak make them can not understand english
