We have been using the new light bulbs for about 10 yrs now We also have 3 rubbish bins. Dark green for normal rubbish. Yellow for plastic and bottles, cans etc and Day Glow green for grass clippings and garden pruning etc . The Local councils have drop off points for toxic waste. Power company's want water boards are proactive in getting us to be smarter and use less. Solar panels costing $13,000 end up costing $2,000 after the Government subsidy with a buy back clause if after 5 yrs it has not paid for it self they will buy it back. That is not to say there is still a long way to go. Solar wind and Hot Rock generation need to be developed quickly. I am not convinced that Clean burning Coal will work out. I think Hydrogen will be used widely before they can develop a clean burning coal process.
