As one of the original 1000 Climate Project trainees, working to deliver the truth of climate change science, I realized there are a small number of what I call “Climate Crocks”, crunchy nuggets of disinformation that take only 10 seconds to say, but might take a real scientist an hour to refute.

I launched “Climate Denial Crock of the Week” as a platform to refute, in entertaining style, the canards of climate deniers.

If you say it with confidence someone will believe you. I've heard that people are so desperate some places in India that they will follow anyone who professes himself divine down the street in droves.

eagle--> Most of climate deniers make good money, paid by fossil fuel special interests.

It's interesting to note that Thailand is in the middle of one the worst droughts in Thai history. Water reservoirs are at 10 to 12 percent of total capacity.

My understanding is China dammed the Mekong but they are in a drought also. With the Glaciers of the Tibetan Plateau melting ( and they are going fast) all the rivers of Asia and the people will suffer. Desalination plants are big in Southern Cal and I think they will be in Asia also. Did you see Kevin Costner of Dances with Wolves fame is involved in a water purifying pump that will clean oil from water at a rate of 200,000 gallons a minute with 97% clarity in the end. This could be major in helping the spills and they are working on using the technology to achieve 100% purity so you can drink the water.
