If you are in a foreign country, would you prefer to go by plane to some well known places or would you prefer to go by local taxi (or car), where you are also able to see and experience the local culture during lunch and dinner stops?

CarO ...unless getting from point to point burns too much time... Thai Example - fly to Phuket... drive to Samet ... Chang Mai (which I have not seen yet)...train 0r bus --- then car0... (as always a local guide would improve the drivetime ---> plus I might arrive at my intended destination).
