Ok, not all of them, but almost all !

So, some guys waiting for detailed reports and some girls already starting to sweat Embarassed Naaaa, sit back and relax, this will not be a journal about TF-girls, this is about cars (and TF-girlsWink

Yes, I had a lot of these 'super' cars. Mainly due to my job, not private. A funny thing for me to see is that a lot of girls here are interested in cars. I would say a much higher percentage than in Europe. Why? Sexy, fun, useful? No idea, tell me please.

A car seems to be an important status symbol. Much more important than a house or apartment (which hardly can be take to a club).

So just wondering how important?

- One girl I know wanted a Benz as her first car. Needless to say that she just started to make her driving license ...

- The other own loves BMW and would prefer walking before sitting in a Toyota...

- One was really afraid that her friends will know that I sometimes ride a mountain-bike in Bangkok. She was really scared that I will realize my joke going by bike to Bed club...

I am sometimes smiling about all the sportcars in Bangkok traffic when you overtake them by foot or bike. Quite some Ferrari or Porsche, but do the drivers know that you can drive these cars faster than 100km/h? Or a Benz-SL. This car is a convertible! Made for driving it open. I think the eyes of most owners would pop out Surprised if they would see that you can open the roof.

I love the above cars, but without any doubt there are much more comfortable car-options to go from A to B in a town like Bangkok. These cars just do not make any sense here.

I am also a little car freak, I love driving fast, I have new cars.... but there are many, many things in my life more important than a car. It seems that many people here give up a lot just for the sake of a nice car. And I bet that I will be faster on my mountain bike from Sukhumvit to my office in Ratchada than any car.

But at the end I have to be grateful for all the car maniacs with these high-end cars full of electronics in Bangkok. I earn my money with this **** Laughing

P.S. But the question still open is if they would do valet parking if I go by mountain bike to Bed or Narcissus....? Wink

yeah, I am an admitted car freak. Shame they are so expensive here. I have a BMW X5 - 4.4is - only 2 of the same spec in Thailand - imported by the Dr who started the Redbull company. I bought it from him.

Saturday I test drove a Porsche 911 that I have had my eye on for quite some time, and I also lined up a test drive on an Aston Martin DB9 and Vantage. Although Christ knows why, because I would struggle to afford one of these in UK, let alone in Thailand.

Agreed with you though. I spend 2 hours in the morning from Samutprakarn to Ekkamai and 1.5 hours back at night. Would be faster to bicycle, but a lot less comfortable, less quality stereo and less aircon!!
