Today I had a lengthy chat with a fellow TFder who registered not too long ago. She seemed like a really nice girl and we had quite a pleasant chat.

She told me that she is thinking of deleteing her memerbership.

- "Why", I asked.

- "I have been receiving bad messages".

- "What kind of messages"?

- "About sex".

She was registered for less than a day, and people were already sending her messages with indecent proposals. WTF!

Now she is not very sure as to what kind of site this is. I reassured her that there are probably a few jerks who come here looking for cheap sex and that she should just ignore them.

But being a newbie myself, I'm not sure if this is an isolated case, or if this **** happens all the time to the girls and that they should just live with it.

Call me naive.

but if i had one i would just delte it and ignore it..

i will just talk to a cleaver people..who is smart enough to talk sth. beside sex..^^

I agree with Somtamcharlie and DaCapo. It does work both ways and not all the "ladies" in here are angels. However a chatter (whatever gender) should be more subtle about this subject and if you are on the recieving end of abuse then deal with it and move on - thats what the ignore button is for.

I also received some, but may be i m old enough to handle it bravely. So, some become friend without sexual relationship involved.

Seems that quite a few ladies have talked about getting those kinds of messages, and even one guy that I know of. There's a solution. See the menu button on the left side labeled "Report Abuse"? That's what it's for. Besides deleting and blocking, let the people who run things here know that there's someone out of line!

on a serious note, all you have to do is treat these types of messages the same as rubbish mail you recieve from the mailman, throw it in the rubbish bin, don't reply to the message cos the idiot who wrote the message wants some sort of reaction from you. SO DON"T REPLY. the idiot can't get his thrill cos you haven't reacted

2unique, no offense taken. I was initially taken aback by your attempt at humour on something that I didn't think should be taken lightly. Newbies like us would have expected a more constructive response from a mod. Now we understand that these kind of indecent proposals are not unusual and are to be expected from a site like this one, even though there was nothing in her profile that indicated that she was up for "extra-curricular" activities.
