My girlfriend and I had a nice heart to heart last night, and what was resolved is that we have an open relationship. We still stick together, but if either one of us meets somebody who feels better for us than we can go our seperate ways, though still remain friends

I know this has plenty of potential for problems, but I feel that it might be for the best

good luck with it. if distance is the issue there is no easy solution. i dont do the "open relationship" thing but that is more a matter of my compulsive abhorrence of ambiguity.

Hmmm.... Don't want to sound negative, but maybe there will be problems. Maybe you will be always haunted by your (ex) g/f presence even if she's not there, and feel guilty if you meet a new someone. It might be like you have to break up with your (ex) g/f again.

Open relationships suck. I don't even think you can call it a relationship. Hehehe...sorry, talking from bitter bitter experience.

Looks like you'll get all the disavantages of being in a relationship (having someone in mind, not full freedom, remorses, etc...) and none of the advantages of being single (your ex. calling you often, reminding you that she thinks about you, telling you that she misses you, etc...).

To everyone, bottom line is she is still my lady and yes Gigabyte, she does all that. I have kind of accepted that she can find somebody else, if she feels better with him than good luck to him. Then again thats the attitude I have for everyone who finds love

Did you initiate this heart to heart or was it thrust upon you? And does it seem like the only option/possibility to keep her? I dont know what my situation with Winny has to do with yours, I doubt that you know what really went on so please don't feel like you can comment especially since you have never asked me about it. I dont care about that stuff anymore, but i do find it odd to stumble upon someone else making mention of it in terms that that person thinking they have some knowledge of it at all, when clearly that is not the case.
