I was witness to a ridiculously expensive experience for the last 2 days.

It started off at the point when my bf told me that his friend is in the mood of getting herself a new watch and we are going to accompany her around Gaysorn. I never shop there myself and giving the fact that everytime I am in there I get the feeling that I should not be there because I cannot afford anything, this should be a good experience. After a long while walking in and out watch shop she finally falled in love with a Rolex. I am not obsessed with brandname stuff, but I have to admit that the watch looks really nice and it worth paying that much money for. Seeing the amount in cash was pretty impressive.

Then we went to celebrate our success at Lord Jim's in the Oriental Hotel. I love the atmosphere there, great food, nice view and good music. We had 4 bottles of wine with food. It was crazy same as the bill. At the end we were pretty much in a blurr and that made my bf and his friend agreed to finish the night with karaoke at our flat.

Got up with a hangover and decided to cure that with more drinkiing. My bf and his friend ordered beer to drink with their breakfast, but I was still sensible so I ordered big glass of orange juice. We were talking about our money saving plan and going to property agent to get some idea about condo price while my bf said "let's get you a new rolex for the sake of it" I refused, of course, because I don't need a new watch and our first priority is to get a new condo. But after half an hour of them convincing me about how sensible it is to get it now than later, I agreed It would be rude to refuse a present from someone who insist to give it to you, right?

We headed to Gaysorn again, but this time thing is a lot easier - no walking around to different brands and shops. We just went into the same shop we were yesterday, sat down and I only have to point at the models I would like to try on, going on like "I want that one, that one and that one" It was great! I finally joined our little club.

This would not be complete without a nice meal. We decided to go to Angelini. Another 2 bottles of wine were down between three of us. My boyfriend started realize what was happening and ask "at which point of the conversation that I decided to get kay a new watch?". His friend burst into a big laugh with how ridiculous we have been, but she could not answer. I think she was as drunk as him at that point and I was also in a total shock.

Anyway, we are finally home and not planing anything for tomorrow. Except that I have to go for a job interview at 2 pm. I am tired but cannot sleep, thinking about what happened I still cannot believe how quick it went and how easily it is to blow nearly half a million baht away, although the satisfaction of be able to do that is great. Nevertheless we are not going to do it again in a long time.

My boyfriend decided that this watch is going to be my birthday present for another 10 years, it is funny because he said the same thing with the Tag Heuer last year which happened at the same time and my birthday is actually in June. So I have got my 20 years birthday present in advance and wonder how long will it take until I know what I will get in another 100 years. It does not sound impossible...

Eh...why not? Nobody can see it anyway because I am going to wear a suit.
