I was just getting back from driving 1 hour round trip (return)to pick up a part for the boat my brother and I own after getting up early on Saturday so I won't have to deal with so much traffic and he calls me on my mobile and asks if I broght the part to another store that was a further 1.5 hours round trip (total of 2.5 hours round trip from my house) to get fixed. I said no they didn't answer the phone when I left from my house or when I was at the first store and there was no way I was going to drive that distance just hoping they were open.

Then he asked did I bring it to mom's so she could bring it there. She lives about 0.5 hours round trip to the second store. I said no and was thinking about the extra time I would waste there talking about stupid sh*t with her bf I hate. Then he gets all pissy at me about we don't want to go through the whole season without that piece of equipment. I told him we can put the old one on temporarily and then take it off again. Doesn't take so long to do this.

Then he gets more pissy. Last time we asked my mom to do something very basic about the boat nothing happened and I ended up going down to her house where that item was stored for the winter and dealing with it.

Then with his sh*tty assed voice he asks what did I accomplish by driving there and back. Well the only time we can go to the store when they are open is before lunch time on Saturday. So now we have the part and some flexibility on going to the second place.

Boy did his attitude piss me off. I got up early on Saturday and did the long drive. Made me feel so good to hear this just as I am finishing.

like they say. you can pic your friends, but not your relatives

Just bought a boat myself.... Never knew it could cause so much stress!! I was hoping for some lazy afternoons on the river, might have to have a re-think now though.
