*Ambition*

What did the word "ambition" originally mean?

Literally "go - getting." The ancient Romans used the word ambitio to describe a candidate's "going about for votes."

See below for a better explaination.

it's not about the size of the dog in the fight, but about the size of the fight in the dog and it applies to every area of our everyday life. And sometimes we need to see a vivid expression like the one in the picture for us to wake up and laugh a little.

However, this picture explains a joke that an old KGB officer told me 10 years ago. Here is the close translation of it:

There's a grandpa and his grandson walking down the street when they see a scene similar to the one in this picture.

- What are those dogs doing, Grandpa? - a little one inquired

- Well...the dog that's on the bottom is relaxed, son, and the one on the top is...errr...tense. Got it?

- Yeah, I think I got it, Grandpa - was the grandson's answer.

They walked silently a few more steps, when the youngster exclaimed:

- Grandpa, Grandpa!!! I think I finally got it. You meant - IN LIFE, IF YOU RELAX - YOU'LL GET f**ked!

Hope it makes sense.

Thanks, Thita. It's a good topic :)
