Vardan 8) : correct, Josephine, rooftop of the building on Sukhumvit Soi 1, quite big, not much dancing, open air, food & sheesha available. Nice hangout for drinks. Quite often closed down by the police - no big deal, its just that everyone has to find another place then ...

 Which brings us to - the other places:

Sukhumvit Soi 11: its a bit hard to find, right hand side, about 200 m inside when coming from Sukhumvit. Most obvious - they always have a pickup with a big cage on the back standing right in front of their place. Its usually dark on the groundfloor, you go in and go two floors up. Small place, usually pretty packed, good R&B. Cover charge.

Phetchaburi 45: Right on Petchaburi, between Soi 45 and Asok, left hand side when coming from Pratunam, directly beside the car flyover. Street kitchen on the ground floor. Pool on the second floor, dancing on the 3rd. R&B, cover charge 20 Baht. This place only fills up after 3 am, its definitely not worth going there before 2 / 2.30 am. But then, after 3 am, it is definitely worth going there. Packed, good fun, especially at weekends.

Ratchadaphisek Soi 3: Drive into the Soi to the first small junction - the club is on the right corner across the street (and its actually not far from Petchaburi 45 - in case you dont like it ...). Mostly Thais in here, only very few farang. It is actually a bit outstanding, since it seems to be the only place of this kind with mainly Thai visitors. People dance, but they do it at their tables.Atmosphere can be a bit strange at times, with people inviting (forcing) you to drink with them though you might not really fancy it ... But over all, still nice. Big screen with Music videos - even farangs can sing the thai pop songs since the karaoke subtitles are shown. Music: Thai Pop & R&B.

Syn Bar, Sukhumvit Soi 4: on the rooftop, a little bit down into the Soi, about 200 m, right hand side. There is a big parking lot in front of it, a hotel (Raja or sth like it, don't remember). In the same building you find "Balls in hand", a pretty sophisticated Pool hall. Nice place, nice music, open air, food - but no dancing, just hangout. Has a bit more style and class than Josephine.

General remarks: Be aware that at this time you hardly find any "normal" people  - and there is usually a considerable amount of thai woman who just happend to finish working an hour ago ... but everyone is having a good time, and nobody is really hunting (at least not more than in Q-Bar or so as well). But you can have a nice night, good dancing and nobody bothers - just how it is supposed to be ...

Well, how to say - since these places seem not always to be 100% legal - I have of course NEVER been at any of them and ONLY heard about it from friends of friends of friends ... and now: Let's rock!

thnx buddy mellowman

n agree with robbie36 too,but its ok to disscuss on this board

General remarks: If a place is open 'after hours', publishing its location on the internet is rather like ringing up the police and asking them to shut it down.

At school we used to call people like that 'sneaks'.

Don't get out much with Thais do you? :)

Not a lot of Farangs in Phetburi 45.

But there's lots of little karaoke/nightclub places all over the place in Thai neighborhoods. Though Rachada Soi 3 does have more than it's fair share. And their almost all entirely Thai :)

Rachada Soi 3

Bit of a correction, it's the SECOND junction in. There's 5 different places within a few 100 meters. Though the one mentioned is the one I tend to see farangs in.

Personally, I like the snooker joint on Soi 69, but haven't gone there in quite awhile. Getting old and rickety.

robbie: don't be such a sissy  - or do you really believe they don't know the places? They sit on the 2nd floor - in uniform! - and play pool with u - even invite u for a beer ... "sneaks", phhh, I'll give you sneak

Regular shut-downs are known at most of the mentioned places. Nevermind, a man gotta do what a man gotta do, chai mai?! And it doesnt matter if its a man in uniform or a man in party-stock ...

However, realising that google is indexing the forum entries ... I believe I should maybe protect myself from angry clubowners (huh, who's da sissy now?) ... Guess I will ask admin to replace the list in two or three months with a remark to ask me for it, I can still PM it then.

sun: mai pen rai, I'm a poser anyway wink:

farangnbkk: Thanks for the update - guess I am too drunk to count intersections at these times or even to realise if the guests are farang or thai (nevermind anyway, as long as its fun).
