admin
It has been a long time coming but the BMA have finally announced that the “Pun Pun†Bike Rental scheme will launch on 1st May at 12 stations around Central Bangkok. This is a far cry from their original promise of 50 stations and 500 bicycles around Bangkok by February 2013. FarangFarang
So who's going to rent a bike? It's an idea that's worked in a lot of big cities around the world but it'll be interesting to see if it takes off in Bangkok.
Andy_bkk
If this "business idea" takes off I'll eat my shorts. I've seen maybe two handful of people riding a bicycle in bkk excluding kids and elderly in 10 years.

It's more about people's willingness to ride one. I think you would see far more expats/tourists riding them.
