Why would i choose to be Thai? Being a western male i am more likely to earn money thus giving me a better standard or life. It sounds strange but i like being English but am not happy with my home country due to the way it's developing. The goverment are incompitant and it's now outlawed that you are racist if you are proud to be English.

Its looked down upon to practise your Christian faith, to fly the St George flag, there are no national holidays like other countries ie St Georges day, the Queens birthday etc. Its just a mess to be honest and i hope Tony Blairs "new labour" will lose to the conservative party.

I don't want to be born again in this life form. But let imagine that gods curse me to be a human being, and the only freedom I have is that I can choose a place of birth freely.

Given that the circumstances of each nations are like today.

I choose the Scandinavia, even though it is cold. oz even if i was born from a poor family, but chances of life is a promised. Not so much difference

between being a male and a female. Plus the wild nature, and the ability to enjoy picking up wild blueberries, and to set up a tent in a forest.

And I know that if i get bored of scandinavian environment, i also have more chances to move elsewhere.

being born as an isarn girl in Thailand is not that easy.

I am learning to be happy about it.

I definately would wanna be a thai again in my next life :) I think it's a lot easier for a middle class thai to enjoy life in Thailand than a middle class in a developed country, espacially for women. Shopping is a lot more fun here and for 100 bahts u can actually buy something! Spa, cosmetic, clothes, massages u name it. What happened in develope countries is that labour is so expensive that they can hardly afford to make fine things themselves, things such as arts and crafts. When in thailand it is very much affordable to everyone to own a piece of art. Thats how i see it anyway.

And Danny, u wouldnt feel so bad growing up in the environment u grew up doing whatever u have to do cos u simply get used to it. I sure dont feel that there are too many rules to being a good thai girl. Sometimes I even think it's cute that women and men are to do different things and live under different rules, a lot of times it gives a good balance in a relationship.
