Translation,

When to use ³ Naw Nean and ¹ Naw Noo

³ Naw Nean

1) Use in these two old words ³ and þ³Ã

2) Use in words that come from Bali, For example, ¡Ñ³ËÒ µÑ³ËÒ ÃسËÀÙÃÔ ÃسËÔÊ Ò³ ¢Õ³à Ã³Õ Ã³±Å ÊÒÃà³Ã ¨Ñ³±ÒÅ ÃÒ³¾ ÇÒ³Õ ÇÒÃØ³Õ etc.

3) Use in Sankrit words, There is a technique as follows

- If there are any of these constanants Ã Ä É directly before the Naw sound

(Ã_) (Ä_) or (É_). For example, ¡ÄɳÒ ÇÔɳØ ·Ñ¡ÉÔ³ µÄ³ ÃÃس ÅÑ¡É³à ¡ÃóԡÒÃì ä»ÃɳÕÂì ÀÔ¡ÉØ³Õ etc.

- Use in words that have Ã Ä É and then a constanant from the ¡.group or ».group Or have Â Ë Ç and then a vowel surrounded by constanants (_Vowel_) For example, ¹ÒÃÒ³ì ¾ÃÒËóì ÅÑ¡ÉÃ³ì »ÃÃ³à »ÃóÒà »ÃÔ³Ò¡ ¡ÃÃÉÒ»³ì à¡ÉÕ³ »ÃÒ³ ÃËÒÀÔà¹É¡Ãóì etc.

- There are a few words which are exceptions to these rules, Namely ¡ÃÔ¹ »Ñ¡ÉÔ¹ ¾Ä¹·ì etc.

¹ Naw Noo

1) Use in all Thai words, both as initial and final consonant. For Example, ¹¡¹éùùṺ¹éÓã¹¹Ò

2) Use as the final consonant in the final sylable of Sanskrit words which are pronounced Ãѹ and ÃÔ¹, such as ¾ÃËÃѹ ÃÒµÃѹ ¡ÃÔ¹ »Ñ¡ÉÔ¹ ËÑÊ´Ô¹ etc.

3) Use as the final consonant in Bali and Sanakrit words that contain consonants in the µ. Group. For Example. ¡Ò¹´Ò ¢Ñ¹µÔ ¤Ñ¹¶¸ØÃà Êؤ¹¸ì etc.

4) Use as an initial consonant in all Bali and Sanskrit words, which are not covered by the rules of ³ Naw Nean. For Example, ¹Äº´Õ ¹Ã Çҹà ¹·Õ ¹¤Ã ¹¤Ã ¹ÒÃÕ etc.

5) Use in words that come from other languages in general. For example ÃÔªªÑ¹¹ÒÃÕ Ã…ÃµÔ¹ Ê¡ÃµáŹ´ì ÃŽÃÅѹ´Ò ¡Ç¹ÃÙ ¡Ç¹ÃÙ ËÅÔ¹ÂÙè¶Ñ§ Âǹ«Õä¢ Õè»Øè¹ ºÑ¹ä« â»ÃÃÂØè§Ç¹ ÃÃá«ËÇØ蹡Õé
