thaibel
A thai lady beated Jelena Jankovic # 3 (and she is only # 60) at the grasscourts of Wimbledom to reach the quarterfinals. From Tennisweek: Tamarine Tanasugarn took advantage of the fact that Jelena Jankovic was obviously hampered by the knee injury she suffered against Caroline Wozniacki in the previous round to reach her first Wimbledon quarterfinal after numerous fourth round disappointments with a 6-3, 6-2 win. The Thai was close to tears of joy at the end because injuries had contributed to her ranking plummeting to 140 a couple of years ago. Now she is back with her best result ever and is looking to a match against Venus Williams. I saw it yesterday on TV, but I just read she lost to Venus Williams in that QF with 6 - 4 6 - 3. But it's not a shame to lose to one of the best players on grass.
thaibel
I just saw the match Venus against Serena Williams. Venus won and was the best. It was quite nice match. Tomorrow the men's single, curious who's going to win. I saw it on BBC and now there's a Thai player, Noppawan Lertcheewakarn, fighting the single women's title, in Wimbledon against Laura Robson, a British girl. It'll be hard for the Thai to play against and the support of 10.000 British, who support for Robson of course. It's now at the moment 1 - 0 in sets in favour of Robson and 3 - 3 in the second set. Let's cheer for the only 16 yrs old Noppawan Lertcheewakarn.
