CiaranM
ps. "chan la kun=i love you" is INCORRECT chan la(E) kun = ME AND YOU chan rak k(h)un = I LOVE YOU hey Cherry i know "chan la kun" is incorrect, but i can understand how she made the mistake ... just about every thai i know when speaking changes the 'r' sound to an 'l' sound so many ppl say 'rak' as 'lak'. also ppl also drop the 'k' at the end of a word. my teacher calls it a hard 'k' .... i say it's that f**ing hard i can't even hear it. so it is easy to think it is 'la' for love, although i would guess most thais would pronounce it as 'lak'. not that i would know as no thai has ever told me they love me .... the joys of trying to learn thai
