I recently said good bye to some friends who had come to Thailand for a visit...These folks had explored the seedier sides of Bangkok and had alot of fun...When they finally left they said they could not believe how much money they had spent and how much spirits they consumed .. Sometimes as I sit in traffic, wander the streets of Bangkok or have a beer at a street-side bar my mind seems to generate questions .... Sooooo I went out with a friend for dinner then suggested that we would go out for a romantic walk around our street and check out the vendor wares...
Dinner was wonderful and off we went for our late night stroll.....all was well until we got to a spot on the sidewalk between a bus shelter and a construction site...My date noticed a fellow taking a pee....then I noticed the fellow taking a pee....then she did a "double take" and I "double take" and we realized that this fellow was relieving h
One interesting phenomena that I have been able to observe is that all my friends and family who visit me in Thailand, despite best their best efforts are attacked by the shopping bug!! I want to warn these poor unsuspecting individuals - “ABANDON ALL HOPE FOR YA HAVE HIT THE LAND SHOPPING !!” - People seem to start slowly then - WHAM !!! - they have melted their credit cards, mapped the fastest routes to over 1,500 ATMs and started to look for those shady clinics that will buy your blood !!!

My friends and colleagues know my unique golfing skills, which are highlighted by my complete ability to get every dime's worth in greens fee's by shooting in the low 160's - I have been reluctant to discuss my "handicap" around the board room table, but I was finally dragged to the course this past weekend...boy what an adventure...
