There was only one Lowell George... one Little Feat. This song is one of my favourites on the 'Waiting for Columbus' live album.Lowell George was also a huge influence and vocal tutor to greats such as Bonnie Rait and Ricky Lee Jones. So sad his life cut so short.Awesome talent.
Since my work is my life, and my life is my work, I guess this isn't really straight advertising by posting this. (well... maybe)
Its taken me a long time (years), but I'm close to creating my dream. So... here is my new office, right in the centre of Bangkok. Still so many things to do (painting etc) but I'm about 80% done. The pics are shitty quality because i just took with mobile phone. Too impatient to do professional ones yet, but you get the idea. This is just the ground floor of this 2
As amazingly gifted as he is, Ive never been a huge fan if Al Jarreau, but Ive always loved this track and Al can sure do some great things with his totally unique style. Enjoy (inspired by Iain for his FB post)
Each one of these guys is a virtuoso and legend in their own right. I saw this show in Sydney many years ago and was blown away. Paco de Lucia (left) is my all time favourite flamenco guitarist and I've followed John McLaughlin (right) for the past 25+ years, particularly with his incredible Shakti shows. This may not be everyone's taste, but hey.... who cares?
Walter Becker and Donald Fagen - Steey Dan - with one of the best songs they ever did (oh there's too many IMO). Here, live from the 'Two Against Nature" concert. Musicianship doesnt get much tighter or better than these guys
