The dream is to live in Thailand.

Dude, just export goods out of Thailand! Sell them in your home country, unless your home country is China ofcourse....

There are many ways to make a living in Thailand, just like anywhere else. Exporting things out of Thailand is one of the more difficult ways. Depending on how much money you can invest, you can buy a business or start a business here, just as you would anywhere else.

Get this book: Start up and stay up in Thailand

You should be able to find it at Asia books or maybe Kinokuniya. It's hard to get outside of Thailand. It's got lots of true stories that cover various avenues of the legalities of setting up your own business here.
