Like I said in another thread Macca as captain, team member, the best goal shooter in the team, the major inspirational player etc. etc. given the situation he should have kept his cool. There have been lots of reasons in the WC for guys nowhere near his experience to lose their cool and lash out but didnt.

And he had time to think about it too, you can see him run in front of the player before he did it, it wasnt a spur of the moment thing.

Now they give him the "Golden Ball "award...what message does this send to aspiring young footballers??? Should have been awarded, "Kick in the Balls"
