Very hot here in these days...so today I share something easy and really fresh..... cheers

lemon Granita:

750 gr water

375gr sugar

250 gr freshly squeezed lemon juice

Combine water and sugar in a small sauce pan over low heat and stir until sugar is dissovled. Add lemon and stir until mixed well. Let cools to room temperature.

Transfer mixture to a tupperware container, place the container of granita in the freezer over night. Remove from freezer and using a hand blender chop and mix the granita until it slushy.

Almond Granita:

150 gr sugar

600 gr ice-cubes

100 gr almonds (with their skin on for texture)

100 gr of water

put the sugar in the mixer and turn it into dust. Then add all the ingredientes and mix until you get a nice creamy consistency. This should not take more than three minutes so that everything is still cold. And this is why you need a very powerful mixer - all that ice and almonds don?t just dissolve .

Refresh yourself.....; )
