OK good people, here it is...the plan for the great Bangkok race.I have had many PM's from people, (Thank you), with many suggestions, so what I have tried to do is come somewhere in the middle of everyone's wishes. I hope this will be fine for everyone, and I am sure we can all have a great amount of fun on the 26th.THE OBJECTIVE / RULES:We will meet at 7pm SHARP in a pub / bar to be announced very soon. Between 7:00pm & 7:30 PM, everyone will enter their names into a hat. Names will be drawn at random, and divided into teams of two.At 7:30, A list of 8 pubs will be given to each team. This list will be drawn up by a moderator, and only he / she will know the details of which pubs are involved. Each team must visit every pub, in any order they choose. After the list has been made available, each team will have 30 minutes to plan their route. At 8:00pm, the race will start.  Each team must visit every pub on the list. Upon arrival, each team will be given a task to complete, or a question to answer. After completing this task, or answering the question correctly, they must drink one full bottle of beer (ladies can drink anything they like.) After drinking is completed, they must get a signature from the pub Manager on shift, and will ONLY then be allowed to move on to the next pub.The final pub will be the same pub as the starting point. One drink must be drunk at the very beginning of the race, and also at the very end of the race. The winner will be the first team to return to the starting pub and drink their final drink. The following forms of transport may be used:-Tuk Tuk, Taxi, Motorbike Taxi, BTS, MRT, and by foot. Ths is pretty much it. I will be meeting with a moderator this week to fine tune ideas, and will post any updates as and when they come. It has been suggested by many people that we make this into a charitable event which I think is a terrific idea. I therefore propose an entry fee of 200 baht per person, and if each member can get friends / families / companies they work for to sponsor them for this event that means we could get quite a bit of money together. It also seems to be in common agreement that the money should be used in conjunction with SmileySiam's charitable work.I will also be approaching my bosses very soon and asking them to donate something very nice, such as a weekend's stay in the hotel for the winner of the race. This I cannot promise, but I will do my best.Come on Guys, let's get as many as possible for this, and have a great evening:)Please sign up herehttp://www.thailandfriends.com/index.php?name=Events&msg=200#881RegardsStuart****UPDATE****Some members have quite rightly pointed out that the 19th (the original date for the event) collided with the leaving party of Ghee and Poul. I have therefore moved it back one week to the 26th.

This is the most creative event in my 1 year of being a TF member. Can I suggest that the organizer of this event give out the list of all possible bars that will be in the competition so that I have time to study them. Sad to say that this local boy is clueless about most pubs in BKK, only been to like 5 in the past two years

Ant: I am quite certain that you wouldn't let the side down by doing that mate:)

Vacanti: "should be a prize for the winning team also! (more drinks?)"...Please read again mate

Macca, thanks for pointing it out, my mistake entirely. Have sorted it now, so get your ass signed up please!

Dan: Don't worry mate, each and ever pub will be a well known one to taxi drivers etc. It will have the address with it also, plus you have a 90%+ chance of having a teacm member who k nows their Bangkok pubs:)

Kaitai: Yep, it will be. Will we see you there?:)

Musicluver: Wish you could be here also. Two musucians in one team? We would have licked it!!LOL

Treborz: NOw I will make both events:)

Maurice: Bloody good idea!! We should have a wager on what will happen to the first casualty...Heart attack, Stroke, alcohol poisening, RTA, etc etc...could make some money here!! And why isn't YOUR name signed up yet?

Aom: Yes, we could well be needing one. Or ten!!LOL

Vacanti: "I will also be approaching my bosses very soon and asking them to donate something very nice, such as a weekend's stay in the hotel for the winner of the race. This I cannot promise, but I will do my best."

Arndt: Firstly, don't worry, it won't be an issue, you will NOT be winning!! I would love to meet you every night but due to being a quiet Man, and not enjoying parties, that will not be possible.
