I've been dealing with this bullshit for long enough and think it's time to speak up a bit here.I was born in bangkok but have been living in Pak chong, Korat all my life.So i take myself as an Isaan girl and proud to be one! And i hate it when people look down on us Isaan girls.So here comes what has been annoying me very much of how stupid and shallow people can possibly be!

It happened when guys came chat me up, they started with hi baby, how r u baby , where r u from baby and such but when i told them i'm from Korat, they went " Oh...just another Isaan girl" and left me like that!!! I was happy though that they left as i wouldnt enjoy talking with those jerks anyway."Oh...just another a**hole" I say!

I know many people think that Isaan girls are poor, not well educated and prob. take us as gold diggers! Welll....i sure am a gold digger, but i'm digging my OWN gold, not somebody's else gold.Not those JERK's gold either!

I can understand the facts that those guys might have had bad impression or experiences with some Isaan girls but hey....the facts that you picked the wrong girls is not my fault! Don't be so shallow you guys! We all different, and i aint them.

Well...not sure how many Isaan girls are here on TF. But keep cool my friends! Don't let those jerks look down on us! We all good enough to be in this world just as others!

For those who appreciate Isaan people, I'm happy to have people like you around, make this world more enjoyable.

but for those who looks down on us Isaan girls, don't bother to come chat me up as if you don't like the fact that i am an Isaan girl then you better stay away from me!

I would'nt say Farangs have any prejudice against Issan people. We accept people for who they are and not where they come from.

From my experience the problem seems to lie within Thai society.

Dont get too worked up about it, your answer to them is correct : "just another a**hole". The world is made up of good bad and indifferent, when you meet a jerk treat them like a jerk.

Personally I have met many people from Isaan of all ages, and I find their attitude refreshing to the city folk.

Dont spend another minute upset by this wanker, people like him arent worth the air they breathe.

actuall, i prefer the isaan folk. they put the smile in "the land of smiles"

I did have my bad experiences with Isaan girls as well as bad experiences with BKK girls and even farang girls (but I did have good times too!!! - not only bad times...)

I honestly like Isaan people in general, and I like to go there often. For example, instead of the 'normal' Cambodian visa run, I always went to Laos via Nong Khai where I always enjoyed my stays. I don't need visa runs anymore, but I still enjoy going there for the place, the people, and everything in general.

If you see a green Toyota pickup with a Canadian flag sticker on the back window and a farang at the wheel, driving on some Isaan road during the weekend or holiday, that's me!!!

lets face it.thailand is a fairly racist nation.many thais look down on issan people,they sneer at blacks,at burmese,at indians and pakistanis.and as for farangs-well they sort of put up with us(maybe because of the large amount of revenue created not just from tourists but also those who are working here)

but on balance all countries are now pretty much multi racial communities and conflicts and racism will always arise as everyone tries to keep up with the joneses.its a world wide problem.

every ones got there right to their opinion,so if you dont like it then stay away from them

Don't know what I can say that hasn't already been said. Just be yourself, and the ones who shame themselves (and are to be looked down upon) are those who would so openly show their prejudice!

When I first came to Thailand, I felt in love with Isaan... music, and still am I. Like if I knew it from other lifes... I love Isaan Tawanden in BKK. And Isaan women are great. Go on.

Isan people also have 2 eyes,2 hands,2 legs .so why they are different from others.?

The people who look down other people are the most cheap ,may be the proudy one....

I'm leaving in thailand nearly 2 yrs and most of my friends are from Issan.i love it .great people...they have all the qualities.........
