Hmmm...all this talk of rot_gut Thai whiskey - so are you guys talking about Lao Kao (white alcohol) or Mekong (which is often called whiskey even though it is rum)?

My preference is for a decent beer - wow tried some great beers from Belgium and around there recently - Grezzzy and I are in Brisbane, Australia right now, but the local bottle shop has a great selection! No Thai whiskey though (probably fortunately)...

Maybe try to catch up with you for a drink when we get back to Bangkok after this holiday...Grezzzy will need a drink by then, she has been doing a FANTASTIC job of looking after my three young kids while we are travelling...
