Today I just log on www.airasia.com found out the air ticket to Hanoi is only 0 baht ... Wow, I thought Nok air charge 3 baht was cheap but Air asia is cheaper... Actually, I have no idea about Hanoi... but paid 2850 baht for TAX + insurrance... round trip isn't bad at all. So I and my coworkers plan about our trip already. Think we will go in January.... I checked out about tour guide it was 6000 baht.... so we decided to go there as the backpackers. I heard that the hotels for the backpackers there were cheap like 1++ per night, is it true?If anyone who have been there, I need your advice.  Where should we stay and see? What we should eat? etc.Ohh I need to learn "how to bike" hehe I forgot it already.

complicate and full about Train to travel. many people move from the south to the north.

from Hanoi you can easy go to Haiphong, Cat Ba island, and Along bay.

No they only let you go if you book your return ticket,zero one way and double coming back,hehe

That?s a nice trip Hanoi is a lovely city to visit. Have been their 2 times in January and both times it was cool, about 10 ? 14 degree and rained all the time, not heavy rain more like a mist all day long ? ?soft rain? we call it here.

Best place to stay would probably be around the Old Quarter many cheap hotels here. There are buses from the airport to the Old Quarter.

Sorry I don?t have any details of any hotels now.

Hanoi people are very friendly but beware crossing the road ? lots and lots of motorbikes. Lol
