I saw one animation which how to spread TUNAMI coz of this sumatora earthquick. up to 3 hours

Red colour is higher than normal sea level and

Blue colour is lower than normal sea level

the more darker colour is the more higher or lower .

In Japan gov. worn tonami as fast as posible to make this kind of simulation

so we can escape b4 TUNAMI come....

I hope this kind of system will be work in this area.

Excellent post and *excellent* graphic in your journal! This helps to explain why the Adanam Seacoast of Thailnad got hit so hard. Of course Burma has surely suffered also.

The news media has been speaking of a 620 mile (870 Km) long movement of this faultline, but has always focused their graphics of the seismic event as being below the tip of the island of Sumatra. So I am thinking, "how could this ocean wave 'wrap around' Sumatra and hit Thialand so bad"? The graphic you've dispalyed makes it very evident how this occured.

And yes, RIP for those that have died and prayers for those that have survived....
