I have decided today this is the last time I am putting my life on hold for the benefit of someone else's business.My boss got me to agree to work the xmas period as he had no one else, after which he had a drunken episode and verbally abused me this was after working for 1 year for him with no time off and owing me thousand of pounds in wages, In fact to help him out I have worked well over the legal hourly limit each week for no extra pay as we were intending to become partners in his business. I have decided to quit my job after xmas and never again put myself in to a position working for a small business where things are personal and your rights are limited.So here is to a new year and a new start as after xmas. My life is going to change for the better soon. Just a shame I wont be with my family this xmas as its to late to find someone to cover me and stupidly I wont let my boss down even though I have decided to move on. There is always next year after all.

Thanks for the comments people to Cocoa and others I would also have bailed long ago if it wasn't for all the musicians dj's and staff that I work with who have become more than just colleagues.

I now have a team who say they will follow me to any place that I go and a group of first rate jazz musicians producers and sound engineers who are going to help me with my dream of making some fantastic well produced music. So at least I have laid down some good foundations for the future.
