Can I ask if anyone has any experience here in Thailand of dealing with Burmese citizens here in bangkok and looking for refugee status or thai visa. I have a friend who is in URGENT need of assistance and I really am not sure how to help.

This is a very desperate situation and a return to Burma would most likely result in my friend coming to harm.

Any advice would be greatly received.

try contacting all the embassies and ask about refugee status for burmese citizens and amnesty international also .... also a cpl of groups and sites that offer assistance for burmese refugee's that might at least offer you direction toward the right place.
