20 foods that fight cancer

Health experts estimate that a third of all cancer deaths could be diet related. And while there is no one food that is sure to protect us from cancer, research has shown that eating certain foods can lessen the risk of developing the condition.

Whether it is shrinking tumours, clearing the body of carcinogens or fighting free radicals, there are many foods you can add to your diet that will protect you from cancer. Here are just some of them.

1. Avocados

are rich in glutathione, an extremely powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals (molecules which attack the body and cause disease). They are also packed with beta-carotene, another antioxidant which is thought to prevent the body from cancer.

2. Broccoli

Eat your greens, folks. Broccoli is thought to be one of the most potent cancer-fighting foods. Numerous studies have shown that regular consumption of this delicious green vegetable can help protect the body from a number of cancers, including breast, colon and rectal.

3. Carrots

It is beta-carotene, a type of carotenoid, which gives carrots their orange colour, and the nutrient protects the body from a wide range of cancer

4. Figs

Go to Italy and the fruit stalls are full of them - and for good reason. Research out of Tokyo shows that figs are full of benzaldehyde, an anti-cancer compound that shrinks tumours.

5. Garlic

Garlic has long been credited with having disease-fighting properties. It breaks down substances which cause cancer and boost levels of the immune cells that fight the disease.

6. Grapefruit

Like all other citrus fruits, grapefruit contains monoterpene, a compound which cleans the body of cancer-causing carcinogens.

Red grapes, and therefore - hurrah! - red wine, contain the antioxidants known as bioflavonoids as well as resveratrol, which inhibits the growth of cancer cells.

Nuts, which are high in 'good' fats, contain the antioxidants quercetin and campferol, which both suppress the growth of cancer. Brazil nuts, meanwhile, are rich in selenium, which is thought to protect men from prostate cancer (if you have a nut allergy, buy a selenium supplement instead).

Good advices

I could add two more.

1. Throw away any cellphones, blootooth and non-optic wireless devices. They are proven to cause cancer and manifacturer assure that their device is safe enough and would take too long to bring you a cancer. But do you have only one device like that in 50m radius?

2. Avoid livin in a city (any) or industrial zone. Anywhere is car/truck traffic or chemical industry. Avoid living close to big rivers too (the same reason).

I'll keep smocking cigarettes trough. Really believe that they are safer than a wireless router.

I SAY live your life and don't think to much about preventing diseases like cancer! Enjoy your damn life!! Using a condom to prevent HIV or other diseases transferred through sex YES it really helps a lot, but living in exhile and constantly think about what you eat etc. that's just a waste of your time, there is no guarantee at all that if you follow these steps you're gonna be healthy and not get cancer, if not cancer who knows what else, don't think about it and just hope for the best.

Try to eat regularly and eat different fresh vegetables and fruits. That's the most important thing And avoid like Tech Noir said polluted areas. Stress is also a factor that can give cancer.

All these foods are great & healthy no doubt about it,but if we listened to all the diets,cures and other fixes we would

be mental wrecks and be exceptionally poor.
