It is just a nice song I don't know why I remember listening to the Phil Collins version when I was a kid.  just thought I would share it with every one

Yeah it's off the Miami Vice motion picture soundtrack, great song!. It doesn't have the impact it had with Phil Collins in season 1 of the tv series with and Crockett & Tubbs driving the black shiny car in a big hurry though. If I'm not mistaken Phil Collins became BIG! after this episode, he appeared in season two as a scam artist too

Lil' Kim ass raped "In the air tonight" it was awfull!!!! Bone Thugs n' Harmony used "Take me Home" along with Phil in the video but that was ok, I kind of liked the combination.

he was also just signed as a solo artist with Virgin, and he recorded the drums for that track, as an experiment, inside one of the empty circular towers in the English castle Richard Branson had just bought. Thats why the drums sound so incredible. More trivia for you.

the drums DO sound incredible don't they? I remember rewinding that part on my sony walkman with big ass headphones real loud for at least 15 times in a row sometimes

I liked Genesis, but I never was a Phil Collins fan. I liked Peter Gabriel better. In the air tonight is an exception though, I have to admit that its a brillant song. The whole ...But Seriously album was good to, after that Phil slowly faded into irrelevance, sinking Genesis along with him.

Well as I type I am listening to Phil Collins Farewell Tour - Drums and "Take Me Home" a live piece, I also listened to Another Day in Paradise, Can't Stop Loving You, You'll be In My Heart, Do You Remember, and I Wish It Would Rain Down, "Against All Odds" Live Aid 1985 ...all really excellent - the video clips are meant only as a vehicle for the song, and to give the great unwashed something to stare at while listening, but they are creative and artistic in their own right and I know the amount of work that goes into the making of a clip, having worked on some myself.

No doubt about it...one of the great artists.
