- I was very happy when I was a child. Now, I don?t think I am as happy as I was then. I am not the happiest person in the world. I think I need to give myself a present to make myself feel better. (use "the" for superlative.... and in this sentense.... it shows about "I" = subject.......only....not refer to someone else.
