I love you vs. I'm in love with you

This is something often easily confused in relationships between friends and even dating. I love you is so eaisly tossed around today. Just saying I love.... from WOW, "I love (input celeb name)" of course not meaning they actually have romantic feelings but admire their acting, humanitarian efforts, background, etc..... and to whole groups like "MAN I LOVE the (insert favorite sports team or teams)".

Some of my friends weather asian or non-native english speaking European often get very confused with the difference between I love you and I'm in love with you. Since I love you is said so often in the states between friends of various degrees of closeness and even with ways like I love you, I love ya, lov ya, etc.... it's can be pretty easy to see why it can be confusing.

Love as described comes in many levels from loving a cute puppy, your favorite food, friend, even your favorite (at that moment) song, to your family member, lover, and even the person who you can't live without. The difference is being "in love" singles out one person (usually but that's another journal for another time 555) that you feel like you can't live without. It goes beyond a crush because you do not think about them ALL the time but most of it. You can be apart from them and spend time with your friends, but you'd wish they were there always. When you're in love ... everything was better then it was before you were in love especially the bad things.... they don't seem as bad as before.

Plus you should not be sad from being in love because of the other person, well at least all the time. This is you being in love but it not being returned and that is a BAD situation and something you need to get out of. This is really hard to do. When you just "love" someone it's a lot easier to move on. Sure, it still hurts and sucks and you will still think about them, but you do and much easier. It's just like the person who USED to be your best friend. When you are "in love" though, and it ends (or needs to end) for whatever reason... WOW that's hard. It's especially hard when you need to end it.

When you are in a relationship weather it's friends, gig's, dating, or bf/gf you can "fall in love" at any time. Sometimes you have to take a gamble and risk letting that person know how you really feel. WOmen this is especially true about us men.... some of us ( see I said some us because I know I'm not the only one) do not respond to well to "suttle" hints since men do not communicate that way.

Before anyone start ranting off why I'm writing this had a cpl conversations with some friends in recent days some dating white guys some asian and one well she's just confused but the guy is american born filipino anyways. lol Why is this so complicated? Why is dating so complicated (spare the negative comments beej but I doubt he can. lol)
