Back in the middle 60's . . .("64-67") . . . England sent over a hoarde of musical bands which we Americans called "The British Invasion".  You could hear people buzzing over who was the best of these bands . . The Beatles? . . The Dave Clark Five?? . . . or was it those ugly guys . . . yeah them . . The Rolling Stones!!  Well, there was another band mixed in the hoarde who I felt was under-appreciated . . . although still very popular.  In retrospect, we now know The Rolling Stones outlasted all these bands and played great Rock and Roll along the way. . .but between 1964-1967 some of the best songs were coming from . . .                                  animals1.jpg

Hehe...I read a story in a newspaper about a karaoke bar in Canada. One evening, they had a guest performimg 'House of the Rising Sun'...he got endless applause from the audience and the owner told the guy 'Please come again!'...

The guy didn't tell he was Eric Burdon himself :-)

condo -don . . . Yes, some of these songs are timeless.

PeeMarc . . . gee I don't know what movie that could be

Poul . . . that's a great story!! Eric is 67yo now, so I'm pretty sure no one would recognize him.

Nice songs. Great band. Burdon has also made a few interesting comeback over the years. I remember going to seem at a small venue about 10-15 years ago. The energy was still there.
